Samantha has been a foodie since the day she was born. Growing up, her grandparents owned Tung Bor Chinese Restaurant, the first dim sum restaurant in the DC area.
In her free time, she loves to bake. As a student at American University, she sold her baked goods (e.g., brownies, cheesecakes, cookies, and cupcakes) on campus.
Since then, she has expanded her culinary knowledge and skills by enrolling in many DC area cooking classes when she learned from local greats including Alex Levin, Amy Riolo, Bernard Henry, Christine Schaefer, Dana Herbert, Frank Mayo, George Pagonis, Jinny Fleischman, Luigi Diotauti, Marie Ostrosky, Matthew Adler, Matt Finarelli, Mike Isabella, Robyn Webb, Rupen Rao, Spike Mendelsohn, and Warren Brown.

She was on the Yelp Elite Squad for 9 years from 2014 to 2022. Even though she is an active contributor on Yelp, she did not receive her '23 Yelp Elite badge.
